Barnabas: A Ministry of Encouragement

What is a Barnabas Weekend?

Warfare Praying Booklet - Order OnlineA Barnabas weekend consists of services on Saturday PM and all services on Sunday and a breakfast meeting with local pastors, if host pastor desires, from 7:30 - 9:00 AM on Monday.

The Saturday PM service can be a revival service or a service dedicated to challenging all church leaders on becoming a “New Testament” church. Leaders may also want to plan to join together for a light meal.

On Sunday before the evening service I deliver a 45 minute service on “Warfare Praying” and provide “Warfare Prayer” booklets for those present (at a cost of 60 cents each). This is a powerful time.

Ministry Support

I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong - that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith.

Romans 1:11,12

We support churches regardless of size.  We ask the host church to take a love offering for Barnabas, pay our expenses and allow me to make available to church the books, and albums that will help equip their people in Christian life.

Our ministry is also supported by individuals who believe in what we are doing to encourage churches and pastors and they share in that ministry.

The name of our ministry to local churches is “Barnabas, a ministry of Encouragement.

This ministry is a faith ministry supported by gifts from God's people in the churches where I will serve, as well as by monthly supporters. We ask churches we serve in to pay all expenses and to receive a love offering on our behalf. We will ask our friends who believe in this ministry to prayerfully consider monthly or annual support of Barnabas Ministry. All money above expenses goes into the ministry and will be used to assist pastors and missionaries around the world. There is strong financial accountability with an annual financial report sent to all contributors. Our Board of Directors provides financial accountability and guidance.

Schedule of Meetings

Contact UsOne reason for this schedule is that I will already be there on Saturday evening. I will teach on prayer, and we will pray for the meeting. I close on Monday morning if there is a pastor’s conference from 7-9 AM.

Contact UsI ask the supported church to pay all expenses and take a love offering. If the church is not going to take a love offering, I would appreciate knowing ahead of the scheduled meeting. I am also available for one day revivals, Sunday only, if a church desires this type of service.

To Pastors:

On Monday mornings from 7:00 to 9:00, I suggest meeting with local pastors who have been invited by the pastor and myself for a time of ministry and encouragement. This ministry to pastors would be in an informal setting, addressing the following areas as the Holy Spirit leads:

  • Pastor's personal walk with God
  • Pastoral leadership in the church
  • Pastoral leadership dealing with conflict in the church, and/or
  • Pastor dealing with discouragement in the ministry

These two hours would not be highly structured, so as to give time for personal ministry to pastors and to deal with matters and subjects on their hearts.  I plan to have a time of special prayer for and with these pastors.

And To Others:

After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of Him to every town and place where He was about to go. He told them, "The Harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field..."

Luke 10:1,2

The ministry to churches and pastors can be greatly enlarged to the community of friends, associates, and loved ones. Six inexpensive three-tape albums are available consisting of six messages in each album (a total of 36 messages), along with audio CD’s of messages God has greatly used. I will also make available the two books I have written. These materials will greatly enlarge the ministry to the churches and pastors and leave an on going ministry with them.
